Richard Hammond - you are so wrong!

I love you dearly, Richard Hammond, but you have offended me in your review of the latest release from Cadillac. First, the hand break release for many American cars IS on the left very near the "bonnet" release. WE KNOW. And although we may have had a president (or two) who cannot/could not spell, for the most part we can read. Which I must point out, is the pot calling the kettle black coming from you and your people's pronunciation of city names such as Leicester, Belvoir and Keighley (that's Lester, Beaver, and Keithly for the benefit of my American Mates). Moreover, even if we couldn't read - there's a PICTURE to help us out! Second, what other evidence have you offered that supports your claim that American cars can't take corners? Maybe it's just that you're not driving the car as well as it could be. I'll tell you what - in the immortal words of Sabin - I do that lap in a van! For me that would be my Chrysler Town and Country Minivan. I would even do it with the three girls in the car, however, I believe my husband may have some objections to this. In conclusion, I still love you and will continue to watch Top Gear, but I have been offended and feel that I - and my fellow Americans - deserve and apology. xoxxo Annabelle
